SYNC Google Drive Sync

Keep your data synchronized across PC, phone, and tablet automatically.

๐Ÿ”„
How Sync Works
When you sign in with Google, myPAS stores your data in a hidden app folder in your Google Drive
Every change you make auto-syncs to Drive within 2 seconds
Data is also cached locally for offline access
On another device, sign in with the same Google account โ†’ your data loads automatically
myPAS only accesses its own app folder in your Drive. It cannot see, read, or modify your personal files, documents, or photos.

OFFLINE Offline PC Setup

Run myPAS completely offline on your Windows PC. No internet required after download.

๐Ÿ’ป
Windows Desktop
Chrome or Edge required
โฌ‡ Download myPAS ZIP
Download and extract the ZIP file
Put all files in a folder, e.g. D:\myPAS\
Double-click Launch_myPAS.bat
Click "First Time Setup (Local)" โ†’ accept terms
Set password + security question โ†’ save your data file in the same folder
Done! Double-click the .bat file anytime to use myPAS
To backup: copy your JSON data file. To move to another PC: copy the HTML, BAT, and data files.

GUIDE Using the App โ€” The 5 Tabs

Once inside myPAS, you'll see 5 tabs along the top. Here's what each one does:

๐Ÿ“Š Dashboard
Overview of all your balances. Shows net position for AED, INR, and Gold. Lists each party with their current balance and status (Owes You, You Owe, Advance Paid, Dues Outstanding, Settled).
โž• New Entry
Add new parties or record transactions. Switch between "New Transaction" and "New Party" modes. Parties can be Individual or Organization โ€” each has different status labels.
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Parties
Browse all your parties. Search by name, type, or UID. Edit party details (name, email, mobile, address) or delete parties. See balance summary per party.
๐Ÿ“’ Transactions
View all transactions sorted by date (newest first). Filter by party or currency. Edit or delete any transaction. Each shows date, mode, amount, and running description.
๐Ÿ“„ Statement
Select a party to see their full account statement. View transaction tables grouped by currency with running balances. Print statements โ€” choose "Latest 20" or a custom date range.
๐Ÿ”ง
Header Bar Options

Export Excel โ€” Downloads all parties and transactions as an .xlsx spreadsheet file.

Reset โ€” Clears all data (requires double confirmation). Use with extreme caution.

Save As / Download Backup โ€” Saves your data as a JSON file for backup.

Lock โ€” Locks the app. You'll need your password to get back in.

CONCEPT Understanding Debit / Credit

Debit = money or gold going OUT from you

Credit = money or gold coming IN to you

For Individuals:

Positive balance = They owe you (e.g. you lent them money)

Negative balance = You owe them (e.g. they lent you money)

For Organizations:

Positive balance = Advance Paid (you paid them in advance)

Negative balance = Dues Outstanding (you owe them)

Gold Transactions:

Debit column shows as "Given" โ€” gold going out from you

Credit column shows as "Received" โ€” gold coming in to you

RECOVERY Password Recovery

If you forget your password, you can recover it using your security question.

On the login screen, enter any password and click Unlock (it will fail)
Click "Forgot Password?"
Your security question appears โ€” type your answer
Click "Verify & Reset Password"
If correct, you'll be taken to set a new password + new security question
All your existing data (parties, transactions) is preserved
If you cannot answer the security question, the only option is "Delete Data & Start Fresh" which permanently deletes all data. You can then create a new account or upload a JSON backup.

RESET Start Fresh / Reset Account

If you're locked out and cannot recover your password, you can start over.

Click "Forgot Password?" on the login screen
If security question fails or wasn't set, click "Delete Data & Start Fresh"
Confirm twice โ€” this permanently deletes all data
You'll see two options:
"Create New Account" โ€” start with empty data
"Upload JSON Backup" โ€” restore from a backup file
Set a new password and security question
If using Google Sync, data saves to your Drive with the new password
Always keep a backup! Use "Download Backup" or "Export Excel" regularly. A JSON backup file lets you restore everything even after a full reset.

IMPORT Import Existing Data

If you have a JSON data file from a previous myPAS session, you can import it into a new account.

When signing in with Google (new account):

Sign in with Google โ†’ you'll see the Welcome screen
Click "Upload JSON Backup"
Select your JSON file โ†’ your parties and transactions are loaded
Set a new password + security question (the old password is not carried over)
Data syncs to your Google Drive with the new password

When using Local mode:

Click "Load My Data File" on the login screen
Select your JSON file
Enter the original password from that file to unlock
With Google Sign-in, imported data always gets a new password. With local mode, the original password is preserved.

BACKUP Backup & Export

JSON Data Backup

Click "Save As" (PC) or "Download Backup" (mobile) in the top bar. This saves your complete data as a JSON file including all parties, transactions, and your password hash. You can use this file to restore your account on any device.

Excel Export

Click "Export Excel" in the header. Downloads an .xlsx file with two sheets โ€” Parties and Transactions. Useful for record-keeping, sharing, or analysis in Excel/Google Sheets.

Print Statements

Go to the Statement tab โ†’ select a party โ†’ click "Latest (20 per account)" or select a date range. A printable statement opens in your browser โ€” use Ctrl+P to print or save as PDF.

Backups are your responsibility. Google Drive sync is automatic, but for local mode users, regularly save a copy of your data file. We cannot recover lost data.
